What one credit buys
A credit converts one finished Word DOCX manuscript into a validated EPUB 3 ebook and a readable companion PDF. The EPUB is the file retailers want: Amazon KDP, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play Books, Barnes and Noble and the aggregators all accept it. The PDF is for beta readers, review copies and your own proofing, not for a printer.
Every EPUB is run through EPUBCheck, the same validator retailers use, before it reaches your dashboard. If a book cannot be made to pass, the conversion is reported as failed and your credit is put back automatically, so you are never charged for a file you cannot publish. There is more detail, including a real validation report and a downloadable sample book, on the Word to EPUB page.
Pricing questions
How much does it cost to convert Word to EPUB?
One conversion credit is $19 and covers one finished manuscript, producing a validated EPUB 3 file and a readable companion PDF. Checking the manuscript structure beforehand is free.
Is there a subscription?
No. Credits are bought once and used when you want them. There is nothing to cancel and nothing recurring.
Do credits expire?
No. Unused credits stay on your account.
What do I get for free?
The manuscript structure preflight: upload a DOCX, see the title page, front matter, chapters, back matter and metadata that were detected, and decide from there. No card is needed.
What if the conversion fails?
If the generated EPUB cannot pass validation, the conversion is reported as failed and the credit is restored to your account automatically.
Can one credit cover two books?
No. A credit covers one manuscript. If you are converting several books, the multi-book packs bring the per-book cost down.
Which file formats can I upload?
Word DOCX is the source format. An existing EPUB can be uploaded for validation, and a PDF has to go through a separate paid cleanup step first, because PDFs rarely carry the structure an ebook needs.
Do you offer refunds?
Contact us with the project number and we will look at what happened. A failed conversion restores the credit automatically, so in most cases there is nothing to refund.
